Holly Megan Sverdrup Hoyer

Holly Megan Sverdrup Hoyer (hmsh) is a watercolor artist based in Central Mass. A graduate of  Emerson College's Theatrical Design and Production program, she has transitioned her training as a set designer into the creation of whimsical illustrations. While she often draws inspiration from nature, she takes a special joy in creating pieces inspired by language - such as a quote, a typo, a conversation, or a song. Holly loves to find and render the simple beauty in the small things we come across in life.

Holly is very interested in history, and is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. When she's not in her studio, she can often be found crocheting, camping, reading, or spending time with her spouse and their two chaotic cats. She gets equally excited about a new brush as she does a nice spreadsheet.
